    Position Summary

We are hiring a Project Manager to help lead execution of our landscape and hardscape construction projects. This is a coordination- and ordering-focused role: the Project Manager keeps jobs on schedule and on budget by directing crews through our Field Operations Managers (FOMs), managing subcontractors, and communicating with clients, architects, and suppliers. This is not a hands-on field position — the Project Manager directs the work rather than performing it.

    Reports To: Landscape Development Manager

    Location: Hopkinton, MA

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee 2–3 active construction projects at a time, spanning general landscape installation, enhancements, and hardscape scope
    • Coordinate daily job progress with FOMs and hold Crew Leaders accountable for schedule, budget, and quality
    • Coordinate project material purchasing and delivery schedules; keep job management software (e.g., Aspire) updated with accurate ticket and job cost information
    • Prepare schedules a day ahead so crews can mobilize efficiently each morning
    • Process change orders accurately and route them for timely approval
    • Communicate with subcontractors — including hardscape subs — to keep scope, price, and schedule on track
    • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, property managers, and architects on project status
    • Monitor job budgets against estimate and flag cost or schedule risk early
    • Support recruiting, training, and performance evaluation of Crew Leaders and field staff alongside the FOM team
    • Enforce jobsite safety standards and support crew training on production standards
    • Assist with snow account operations and be available to support snow events during winter months

    What You'll Bring

    • Background in landscape construction, hardscape, or related commercial construction (general contracting/superintendent experience considered with direct field exposure)
    • Comfortable directing and negotiating with subcontractors on scope, price, and schedule
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to direct crews and vendors without doing the physical work personally
    • Excellent attitude and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly — more important than a perfect resume match
    • Willingness to be trained on company systems and processes for planning, purchasing, and job costing
