Project Manager - Heavy Highway

Our client, an established heavy highway contractor, is hiring a Project Manager in the Roanoke, VA area. You will lead a major multi-year interstate widening project, offering long-term stability and the chance to own one large project from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project from preconstruction through closeout
• Own budgets, schedules, cost reports, forecasting and change orders
• Manage project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors and suppliers
• Serve as the main point of contact with DOT and project partners
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, quantities and monthly pay estimates
• Keep the project safe, on schedule and profitable

Qualifications

• Project management experience on heavy highway, bridge, DOT or roadway projects
• Experience on large, multi-year projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of DOT specifications, documentation and cost control
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred
• PE a plus
