Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead healthcare construction projects including hospital renovations, expansions, and tenant improvements. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with clinical requirements and regulatory standards. This role requires strong construction management experience, an understanding of hospital workflows and codes, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across design, clinical, and operations groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Develop, monitor and update project schedules; proactively identify and resolve schedule risks to meet milestone and occupancy dates.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasts and change order negotiations to maintain financial performance.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors and on-site construction teams to meet quality, safety and program requirements.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific codes and standards including FGI Guidelines, NFPA, CMS, state health department regulations, and infection control risk assessment (ICRA) protocols.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical stakeholders, architects, engineers and facility staff to integrate clinical workflows and minimize operational disruptions.
• Manage project documentation including drawings, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, daily reports and as-built records; maintain strong record control for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Lead commissioning, testing and turnover activities; coordinate training for facilities and operations teams and ensure successful project closeout and warranty follow-up.
• Implement and enforce safety programs on-site, conduct regular inspections and ensure subcontractor adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety plans.
• Provide regular project reporting to senior management and stakeholders, including progress updates, risk registers and mitigation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of construction project management experience with a minimum of 4 years managing healthcare or hospital projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare facility planning, clinical operations and regulatory requirements (FGI, NFPA, CMS, state health codes).
• Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts and change orders on complex projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate clinical requirements into construction solutions and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with construction management software and tools (Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera or equivalent) and proficiency in MS Office.
• Certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30-Hour, LEED AP or equivalent are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Willingness to be on-site regularly, work flexible hours as needed during critical phases, and travel between project locations.
• Valid drivers license and ability to pass background checks and site-specific credentialing required for hospital access.
