Description

Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects including scope, schedule, budget, and execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, incorporating key dates for clients, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, performance, and compliance with contract documents.
  • Manage project costs including labor, materials, and equipment to ensure profitability.
  • Identify and respond to delays, risks, and unforeseen challenges.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and addenda for constructability and discrepancies.
  • Participate in pre-construction and project kickoff meetings.
  • Assist with estimating efforts including takeoffs, bid support, and subcontractor outreach.
  • Support permitting and licensing requirements as needed.
  • Select, coordinate, and manage subcontractors and vendors with client approval.
  • Partner with field operations to ensure schedule adherence and budget control.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to field teams.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and project logs.
  • Review and approve project costs, invoices, and pay applications.
  • Maintain accurate job cost tracking and provide regular financial updates.
  • Support invoicing processes in coordination with internal finance teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all parties.
  • Address and resolve design issues, conflicts, and field challenges in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of two years of construction, engineering, business or related field experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of construction industry principles, conventions, and blueprints.
  • Experience with change orders, scheduling, and MS Project.
  • 2+ years experience as a Project Manager.
  • Proficiency in MS Project & MS Excel, Procore, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with civil projects, site development, or transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • College Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
  • PMP Certification.

Work Environment

The role requires a five-day onsite work setup at the office with travel to project sites as needed. The company is a family-owned growing firm, currently at about 30 employees, mostly field-based. The team is looking to expand consistently. Benefits include a 401(k) with a 3% match, paid shutdown during the week of the 4th of July and the week of December, and three weeks of PTO. A pickup truck is also provided. The company has a full backlog for 2027, with 23 active projects throughout MA and North CT.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
