Description

Project Manager

Lead projects from conceptual planning and preconstruction through final completion and closeout. Become actively involved during budgeting, estimating, and preconstruction phases. Assist with bidding, procurement, subcontractor selection, and trade package development. Serve as the primary client-facing representative throughout the duration of each project. Coordinate closely with estimating, field operations, consultants, and ownership teams. Conduct constructability reviews and develop comprehensive trade scopes. Lead contract negotiations and oversee contract administration activities. Manage permitting efforts, utility coordination, project schedules, budgets, and cash flow. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure successful project execution. The Project Manager will oversee projects that are primarily delivered through the CM-at-Risk method. The Project Manager will support complex institutional and mission-driven projects, including educational facilities, museums, and university projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction.
  • Successfully led at least two projects as the primary Project Manager.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $10M+, with ideal experience in the $40M-$70M range.
  • Strong leadership experience managing project teams and field staff.
  • Ability to develop and manage complex CPM schedules.
  • Experience with contract administration, schedule management, and cash flow management.
  • Experience with occupied renovations and construction projects is strongly preferred.
  • Preconstruction experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Autodesk products, PlanGrid, and Submittal Exchange.
  • Experience working on institutional, educational, museum, or mission-driven projects is highly desirable.
