ROLE
We need an experienced Project Manager at the United States Capitol Police (USCP). The USCP Office of Information Services keeps the technology running behind a fast-moving law enforcement operation on Capitol Hill, and its Information Resource Management Division is the group that makes sure IT projects actually get planned, tracked, and delivered. In this role, you will provide IT project management support for up to 10 projects of varying size and complexity, work with USCP OIS staff to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, track risks and issues to resolution, and report project status to management, staff, and stakeholders. You will apply Agile, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate and monitor project performance using tools such as Microsoft Project, Teams Planner and Planner Premium, SharePoint, and ServiceNow. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides IT project management support for up to 10 projects of varying size and complexity.
• Works with USCP OIS staff to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
• Assists in defining project scope and objectives with stakeholders
• Prepares and maintains project documentation, including plans, requirements, communications, and agendas
• Identifies and tracks risks and issues through resolution
• Manages approved changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
• Reports project status to management, staff, and stakeholders
• Applies project management methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, or Waterfall, as appropriate
• Monitors project performance using standard tools, including MS Project, Teams (Planner / Planner Premium), SharePoint, ServiceNow, and/or another notable PPM dashboard
• Supports PMO activities by coordinating with groups on internal reviews and tracking completion of findings

BACKGROUND/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing IT projects of varying size and complexity, including enterprise-level initiatives
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification - required
• Agile certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional ScrumMaster (PSM) - required

LOCATION

• Washington, DC – United States Capitol Police (USCP), SW Washington, DC. Full onsite support is required during the two-month acclimation period; afterward, the position is onsite a minimum of two days per week with up to three days of telework, subject to USCP requirements.

COMPENSATION

• Salary range: $120,000–$125,000

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only. The role requires full onsite support during the first two months. After the acclimation period, the position is expected to be onsite a minimum of two days per week with up to three days of telework. USCP may increase or cancel telework based on operational needs. If a contractor cannot be onsite during an assigned onsite day, coverage must be rearranged with another Information Resource Management staff team member, and a missed onsite day must be made up during the same week except for Federal Holidays and USCP Special Events. A background check is required, and candidates must be U.S. citizens.
