Project Manager / Estimator - Structural Steel

This is a chance to split your time between estimating and running projects. We're recruiting an Estimator / Project Manager for a Kansas City steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel packages. The role suits an early- to mid-career professional who wants to grow across both disciplines.

Day to day, you'll:

• Estimate structural and miscellaneous steel packages, starting with quantity takeoffs
• Oversee awarded projects through fabrication and erection, handling the schedule, budget, and change orders
• Track costs on your projects and stay on top of RFIs and submittals
• Prepare proposals and bids, soliciting quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Serve as the link between general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews

You'll bring:

• 2-8 years of steel estimating, project management, or related construction experience
• Familiarity with the scopes of structural and miscellaneous metals
• The ability to read structural and architectural drawings
• A degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Estimating software experience, which is a plus

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
