JOB DESCRIPTION

A growing and well-established Miscellaneous Metals Contractor in the Atlanta market is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This individual will play a dual-role leading estimating efforts while managing awarded projects through fabrication coordination, installation, and final completion. Projects include miscellaneous metals packages such as stairs, railings, ornamental metals, canopies, ladders, platforms, and architectural metal scopes across commercial, mixed-use, institutional, and industrial construction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for miscellaneous metals projects
• Review bid documents, specifications, drawings, and project requirements
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop proposals and participate in contract negotiations
• Manage awarded projects from turnover through closeout
• Coordinate detailing, fabrication schedules, procurement, and field installation activities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, architects, field teams, and vendors
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation
• Track project budgets, labor productivity, and schedule performance
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to internal leadership and clients
• Identify and manage project risks while driving schedule and financial performance
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Estimating, or a combined PM/Estimator role within miscellaneous metals, structural steel, architectural metals, specialty metals, or related construction trades
• Experience estimating and managing erection-focused scopes preferred
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Understanding of fabrication processes and field installation sequencing
• Experience with takeoff software, estimating platforms, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project financials
• Excellent communication, organization, and client management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and bid opportunities simultaneously
• Knowledge of AISC standards and industry best practices preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base Salary: $95,000 – $130,000 DOE
