    Description

    Project Manager & Estimator ( Construction )

    Glen Mills, PA  

    Yearly Salary:  $100,000 - $125,000


    Responsibilities:

    Project Management

    • Oversee day to day management of construction projects, regarding safety, on time and within budget
    • Work closely with head estimator review project plans, bid on projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation
    • Coordinate with Estimators, Project Managers, and Supervisors before project starts 
    • Review all contract terms, drawings, and safety plans
    • Anticipate project needs, including equipment, subcontractors, and team assignments
    • Establish a safety plan and ensure compliance with all safety protocols
    • Set clear goals for supervisors and crews, provide daily/weekly check-ins to ensure progress and troubleshoot issues
    • Monitor costs, manpower, and materials to ensure that the project stays within budget
    • Track billing and change orders to avoid cost overruns
    • Update clients and management on project progress, address concerns promptly, maintain good relationships
    • Identify potential project risks early, conduct site inspections, ensure all safety protocols
    Estimating 
    • Study project specifications, drawings, and schedules to prepare accurate bids
    • Conduct detailed takeoffs, estimate labor, material, equipment costs and assemble competitive bids
    • Solicit quotes from subcontractors and review bids to ensure the best pricing and scope coverage
    • Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages, outlining scope of work, pricing, exclusions, and clarifications
    • Prepare and manage change orders based on client requests or project scope deviations




    Requirements

    • Experience in construction project management and estimating
    • Remediation experience helpful
    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project planning, and cost estimation
    • Familiarity with construction contracts, drawings, and specifications
    • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
    • Possesses strong leadership skills, attention to detail and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    Desired Skills
    • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and regulations
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project conditions
