As a Project Manager (Engineering), you will support cross-functional teams in the design and development of cutting-edge passenger trains. This role requires the ability to make good judgements and fast, smart decisions. Additionally strong leadership skills to manage complex engineering projects from concept through delivery are needed. You will oversee system integration, coordinate with international stakeholders, and ensure compliance with industry standards and timelines. Your ability to manage technical challenges, align diverse teams, and drive innovation will be key to delivering high-performance, efficient rail solutions. Key Functions - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects for passenger train systems.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with international rail standards (e.g., EN, UIC, AAR, CFR, ASTM, etc.) and safety regulations.
- Oversee system integration and interface management across subsystems.
- Serve as the primary technical contact between internal Engineering teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Facilitate design reviews, technical audits, and validation/verification activities.
- Monitor project KPIs and report progress to the Technical Project Manager and Line Managers
Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering project management, preferably in the rail or transportation industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering, product development, and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with international rail standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira) or processes and engineering software (e.g., CAD, PLM systems).
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Multilingual capabilities and experience working with international teams are advantageous.
