The Project Manager role plays a crucial role in Tesla's Megapack Distributed Energy project deployment team, responsible for administrative and coordination activities with internal and external parties. This Project Manager will support a high volume of projects for the Distributed Energy team, historically referred to as the Commerial and Industrial segment.
Coordinate between a volume of customers and all internal teams (including Project Engineering, Sales Operations, Demand Planning, Logistics, Commissioning, Field Service etc.) to maximize the efficiency of BESS deployment
Monitor construction contract requirements and deliverables
Interact with a diverse team to solicit status updates and identify potential risks in project plan
Provide administrative support to construction management staff, managing project documentation including submittals and RFIs, creation of transmittals, and issuing documentation
Maintain change orders, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs
Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings
Research payment history, generate purchase orders, and interface with accounts payable
Prepare of slide presentations, draft of meeting minutes, managing schedule, and drafting of project execution plans
Update/collate monthly reports providing support to project leads and construction management team
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, a related field, or the equivalent in experience
4-6 years of professional construction experience in renewables, utilities, or industrial settings
Ability to report to office in Palo Alto, CA
Ability to travel ~10% of time to job sites
Ability to read and understand design and construction drawings
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work efficiently and independently, being proactive in identifying tasks to complete and anticipating needs of staff
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers, and must be able to follow standard filing procedures
Proficient computer skills, with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and MS Project experience strongly preferred

$96,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
