Project Manager - Education/Municipal Projects

This Project Manager will oversee public-sector projects from preconstruction through closeout while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and municipal stakeholders.

Our client is a respected General Contractor with a long history of delivering K-12 schools, higher education facilities, municipal buildings, fire stations, libraries, and public-sector projects across the Chicagoland area.

Description

• Manage education and municipal projects through all phases
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration
• Lead owner meetings and coordinate with public agencies
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and bid packages
• Monitor project costs and forecast financial performance
• Manage consultant, architect, and subcontractor relationships
• Ensure compliance with public bidding and documentation requirements
• Support business development and repeat client relationships

Profile

• 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
• Experience on K-12, higher education, municipal, or public-sector projects
• Strong understanding of public procurement and construction processes
• Proven ability to manage projects valued at $15M-$100M+
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
