The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead HVAC and plumbing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to safety standards
Manage mechanical construction projects from design through installation and completion
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and stakeholders
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and field teams
Procure equipment and materials; manage subcontractors and vendors
Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment applications
Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and safety standards
Oversee submittals, RFIs, O&M manuals, and project closeout documentation
Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
Track project progress and provide regular status updates
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of Project Management experience in mechanical construction (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
Strong knowledge of construction processes, mechanical systems, and building codes
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with budgeting, cost control, and scheduling
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with design-build, central plants, or industrial HVAC systems
A collaborative, team-oriented approach
