Project Manager - CTA & Municipal

A well-established Chicago general contractor is looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to its team. This is a key hire for a contractor with a strong presence in the Chicago market and a steady pipeline of complex public and municipal construction.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience managing Chicago-area municipal projects, with Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) project experience strongly preferred. We are looking for someone who understands the unique requirements, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management that come with public work in Chicago.

What You’ll Do

• Lead complex municipal and public construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, design teams, owners, and public agencies
• Maintain strong relationships with the CTA and other municipal stakeholders
• Identify project risks and proactively resolve schedule, cost, and constructability issues
• Mentor and provide leadership to Project Managers, APMs, and project teams

What We’re Looking For

• Senior-level commercial construction Project Management experience
• Chicago municipal/public construction experience required
• CTA construction experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of public-sector contracting, documentation, and compliance
• Proven experience managing large, complex projects
• Strong financial, scheduling, subcontractor management, and client-facing skills
• Chicago-area construction experience

Compensation & Opportunity

• $180,000–$200,000 base salary, depending on experience
