Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Full-Time | Direct Hire

Compensation: $80,000 - $150,000 per year

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, and overall project execution while ensuring quality, safety, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects through all phases of construction.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate subcontractor procurement, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively address schedule, budget, and quality concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards.
  • Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and final turnover.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

  • General contractor experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and construction management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
