Project Manager - Construction - Queens

Our client is a highly regarded New York City general contractor and construction management firm with a strong presence throughout Queens and the greater NYC market. They specialize in commercial, multifamily residential, mixed-use, healthcare, and institutional projects and have built a reputation for delivering complex developments through strong client relationships and operational excellence. With a growing project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Construction - Queens to join their team.

As Project Manager - Construction - Queens, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinating owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Managing contracts, procurement, and subcontractor agreements
  • Reviewing and processing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial controls
  • Preparing forecasts, reports, and project status updates
  • Leading project meetings and stakeholder communication
  • Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting field teams to maintain project milestones
  • Managing project closeout, punch-list, and turnover activities

A successful Project Manager - Construction - Queens should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within the construction industry
  • Experience managing projects throughout New York City
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and project controls
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams
  • Experience with commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, healthcare, or institutional projects
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
