Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan

Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor specializing in some of Manhattan's most prestigious interior renovation projects. Their portfolio includes penthouse gut renovations, historic brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and custom residences featuring intricate millwork, premium finishes, and architect-driven designs.

Job Description

As a Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing luxury residential renovation projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Coordinating architects, interior designers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Managing procurement, contracts, and subcontractor buyouts
  • Reviewing and processing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finish packages
  • Leading owner meetings and providing project status updates
  • Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial controls
  • Identifying project risks and implementing proactive solutions
  • Collaborating closely with Superintendents to ensure successful field execution
  • Managing project documentation, reporting, and closeout procedures
  • Ensuring all work meets the client's quality expectations and project specifications

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction
  • Extensive experience managing luxury residential interior renovation projects
  • Proven experience with brownstones, penthouses, duplexes, townhouses, or luxury apartment renovations
  • Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finishes
  • Experience managing high-net-worth clients, architects, and designers
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost control experience
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
