Project Manager, Construction & Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Texas City, TX
Salary Range: $95,000 $160,000 (Depending on Experience)
A leading Texas electric transmission and distribution utility is seeking a Project Manager, Construction & Maintenance Supervisor to lead New Service Delivery (NSD) project execution and supervise Project Managers supporting distribution capital, operations, and maintenance work.
This role provides frontline leadership across project delivery, safety, compliance, and workforce coordination in a high?volume, regulated utility environment.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for the overall direction, supervision, and performance of NSD Project Managers statewide. The Supervisor ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory, company, and customer requirementsfrom assignment through final energization.
The position serves as a key link between field execution and departmental leadership, driving accountability, process improvement, and reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and support NSD Project Managers from project assignment through completion (energization)
- Ensure adherence to PRC?required timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Execute departmental goals, programs, and initiatives within the Project Management function
- Manage a high?volume portfolio of distribution construction and maintenance projects
- Promote safe work practices and hold teams accountable for safety, performance, and professionalism
- Coordinate with peer supervisors to align labor, materials, and contractor resources
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and governmental regulations
- Provide technical guidance and oversight related to construction design, system reliability, and maintenance
- Review and approve designs, schedules, and construction plans; intervene directly when needed
- Delegate project assignments and oversee execution of large or concurrent initiatives
- Lead recurring team meetings, coach Project Managers, and reinforce performance expectations
- Encourage continuous improvement in construction methods, standards, and workflows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited four?year college or university
- 57 years of relevant experience in construction, utility operations, or project management
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team?lead experience
- Demonstrated experience managing construction or maintenance projects in a complex, operational environment
- Valid drivers license meeting company driving requirements
Strongly Preferred
- Experience supporting or supervising electric utility distribution projects
- Familiarity with utility construction standards, design review, and scheduling
- Experience working in regulated environments involving safety and compliance oversight
