Our client, a well-established general contractor based in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing projects from concept through completion.
 
Position Overview
The Project Manager will provide oversight for multiple construction projects, ensuring successful execution from initial client contact through final delivery. This role is responsible for overall direction, administration, completion, and financial performance of assigned projects.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining strong client relationships.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other key stakeholders
• Select and manage subcontractors, delegate responsibilities effectively
• Proactively address delays, emergencies, and project challenges
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and work-in-progress reports
• Develop project scope, schedules, and operational priorities
• Manage project lifecycle from initial client meeting through project completion
• Issue subcontracts and design contracts; direct field supervision
• Negotiate project terms and manage financial outcomes
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of construction safety best practices and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in estimating, customer relationship management, and project management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond quickly to client and superintendent requests
• Strong budgeting and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to “wear multiple hats”
 
Education & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry
• Proven history of managing multiple projects concurrently
• Associate’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
