Description
Construction Project Manager
Our client is a privately held general contractor based just outside of Portland, Maine, with projects throughout New England and the majority of work located in Maine. Founded in 2015 by a construction veteran with over 30 years of industry experience, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new construction and renovation projects across commercial, institutional, and historic markets. The business operates with a close‑knit team of 20-30 professionals and generates approximately $30M in annual revenue. They provide services including Design-Build, Construction Management, and BIM & Virtual Construction, working on projects up to $20M in value.
Manage day-to-day construction operations from preconstruction through closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams
Assist with or lead scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and change management
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure project compliance
Participate in client meetings and act as a point of contact as required
Support procurement activities and subcontractor buyouts
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

3-5 years of experience in construction project management or project engineering
Open to mid-level Project Managers or strong Assistant Project Managers
Ability to run work independently or with limited oversight
Experience on commercial, institutional, or renovation projects preferred
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a collaborative, office-based environment
Salary up to $135,000 for mid-level PMs (higher considered for exceptional experience)
Competitive compensation for Assistant Project Managers based on experience
Office-based role in Scarborough, ME (just outside Portland)
