    Project Manager – Interior Tenant Improvements & Buildouts (Retail & Restaurant)

    Location: Houston, TX

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee interior tenant improvement and buildout projects, with a focus on retail and restaurant environments. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who thrives in fast-paced settings and can manage multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage all phases of interior construction projects, including tenant improvements and buildouts
    • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
    • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
    • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure project alignment
    • Track project costs, manage change orders, and maintain financial controls
    • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
    • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
    • Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and field issues proactively
    • Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor scopes

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
    • Strong background in interior tenant improvements, specifically retail and/or restaurant projects
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in secure or high-compliance environments (e.g., transportation hubs, healthcare, or similar settings)
    • OSHA certification or strong knowledge of safety standards
    • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
