Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects within the insurance industry. This role involves establishing project management processes in a growing environment, requiring a hands-on approach and direct interaction with key stakeholders. The position is ideal for a professional who can shape and define workstreams while adhering to established ePMO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with corporate and partner company priorities.
• Adhere to ePMO project management standards using waterfall, agile, and hybrid frameworks.
• Manage the planning, assignment, and execution of project tasks using standard processes and tools.
• Manage and mitigate project and program risks throughout the delivery life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integration partners, and third-party providers to drive change initiatives.
• Oversee projects such as Broker Management System consolidation, business process automation, and website/domain consolidation.
• Work with stakeholders to develop Business Cases and Cost Benefit Analyses for new initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering change initiatives within the insurance and/or professional services industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels, from end-users to the C-suite.
• Insurance background is highly preferred.
• Proven strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate at big picture level but willing and capable to get into the weeds for planning and executing workstreams.
• Proven business team collaboration skills.
• Interest and/or some experience with driving efficiencies using AI tools.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and related technologies.
• Ability to consult on processes rather than solely managing a checklist.
• Familiarity with business automation technologies such as Python or C# is beneficial.

Our client is a growing organization comprised of several smaller entities focused on different areas within the insurance sector. The company is in the process of establishing its own project management processes within a dynamic and evolving environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by contributing to the development and maturity of the enterprise project management office (ePMO).

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually for the permanent role, and $70.00 to $75.00 per hour for the contract portion. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
