We are seeking a Project Manager or high-performing Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects in the Charlotte market. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, mentor field operations, and help drive projects from preconstruction through completion within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Description
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain schedules, budgets, and overall project performance.
- Support field operations and provide leadership and guidance to Superintendents throughout project execution.
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
- Participate in estimating, budgeting, and preconstruction activities when required.
- Assist with design-build project delivery and collaborate with internal design and construction teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally both on and off the jobsite.
- Contribute across multiple areas of the business in a lean, highly collaborative office environment.
- Monitor project documentation, reporting, and communication to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Support ongoing growth initiatives as the Charlotte office expands its project portfolio.

Profile
Must-Have Qualifications
- Project Manager experience or strong Assistant Project Manager experience within commercial construction.
- Experience delivering projects in the Charlotte, North Carolina market.
- Strong knowledge of local subcontractors, permitting processes, and construction workflows.
- Sitework and grading experience.
- Ability to work closely with field teams and provide support and direction to Superintendents.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented, "can-do" attitude.
Preferred Experience
- Ground-up commercial construction experience.
- Experience with structural construction scopes.
- Estimating experience.
- Design-build project delivery experience.
- Experience working within a smaller, entrepreneurial construction environment where team members wear multiple hats.
