The Opportunity
ASIBACC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects from initial planning through final closeout.
Our projects involve complex infrastructure work where strong project management requires the PM needs to understand what is happening in the field, know where the project is headed, recognize problems before they become expensive, and keep the entire team moving toward the same objective.
You will work closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, agencies, and internal teams while maintaining responsibility for project performance.
This is a position for someone who wants to take ownership. When something needs attention, you address it. When conditions change, you make a decision. When a problem is developing, you get in front of it.
What You'll Own
- Manage assigned heavy civil projects from award through closeout, including buyout, procurement, execution, change management, and final documentation.
- Establish and maintain project budgets, cost controls, forecasts, and monthly cost reporting.
- Monitor project performance and identify cost or schedule variances early enough to take corrective action.
- Prepare, negotiate, and process change orders, work directives, subcontractor agreements, and related contract documentation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Superintendent, Project Engineer, and project controls.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements and identify conflicts or issues requiring resolution.
- Manage RFIs, design questions, and other issues affecting project execution.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and material deliveries with the planned sequence of field work.
- Lead project meetings with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and internal personnel and make sure action items are followed through.
- Work with the field team on resource planning, permitting, utility coordination, constructability, and changing site conditions.
- Oversee quality documentation, as-builts, pay estimates, and other required project records.
- Direct and develop Project Engineers and help establish a strong project team.
- Maintain clear communication between the office and field so decisions and information reach the people who need them.
- Keep projects focused on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements.

You should be able to connect the dots between field production, earthwork, drainage, structures, utilities, scheduling, costs, contracts, procurement, and project documentation.
You don't need to know every answer immediately, but you do need to know when something requires attention and take responsibility for getting it resolved.

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
- 5-10 years of construction project management or project engineering experience.
- Heavy civil, DOT, municipal, or comparable infrastructure construction experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, including earthwork, drainage, structures, and utilities.
- Experience managing project costs, forecasting, contract administration, change orders, and schedules.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and construction management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Sound judgment and practical problem-solving ability in a changing construction environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- $115,000-$165,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

Location & Work Environment
This position is based at ASIBACC's Castleton, NY office with regular travel to active construction projects as required.
The role requires meaningful interaction with the field. This is not a position that can be effectively performed entirely from an office.
