As a Project Manager at mPower, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects for our federal government client, while leveraging project management skills and best practices to ensure successful delivery. This role requires a focus on service quality and continuous improvement as the Project Manager will coordinate emerging priorities and advance activities from concept development through implementation and transition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead project management activities with federal government clients, including planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, dependencies, and status reporting.
- Collaborate with clients to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria to promote iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate steering committees, working groups, and stakeholder coordination, including meeting support, facilitation, briefing materials, decision and action tracking, executive communications, and governance support.
- Manage cross-functional teams of analysts, subject matter experts, and technical consultants to execute project tasks and achieve project milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issue, and implement effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes, to provide transparency and accountability.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Lead requirements planning to include stakeholder discovery, requirements development and analysis, and current-state and gap assessments.
- Prioritize and plan business, operational, technical, and functional requirements.
- Gather and analyze project data, including schedule and resource allocation, to track project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as project plans, status reports, briefings, and meeting minutes, to provide visibility and transparency into project activities.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and clients, fostering a positive and productive working environment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide strategic and technical advisory services related to AI, emerging technologies, digital transformation, process redesign, and organizational readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
- Proven experience managing projects in a federal consulting environment.
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools and software.
$100,000 - $125,000 a year
