    Title: Project Manager - Automation
    Location: Simi Valley, CA
    Durations: Long-Term
    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead end-to-end automation projects involving mechanical systems, assembly equipment, special purpose machines (SPMs), robotics integration, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing automation solutions.
    Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
    Coordinate cross-functional teams including Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Installation, and Commissioning teams.
    Serve as the primary customer interface for project planning, technical reviews, progress updates, issue resolution, and change management.
    Develop project execution plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource plans, and milestone tracking mechanisms.
    Oversee mechanical design reviews and ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
    Manage procurement and supplier activities for fabricated parts, machined components, bought-out items, tooling, and automation equipment.
    Monitor project KPIs related to cost, schedule, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
    Drive project risk management activities and implement mitigation plans for technical and commercial risks.
    Coordinate manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up activities.
    Support machine buyoff activities including Design Reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and customer handover.
    Ensure adherence to machine safety requirements, ergonomics, manufacturing standards, and applicable regulations.
    Lead engineering change management and maintain project documentation, BOMs, drawings, and technical records.
    Support proposal development, project estimation, technical feasibility reviews, and customer discussions.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence principles.
    Mentor engineering teams and foster a collaborative project environment.
    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
    5-7 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing automation, machine building, special purpose machines (SPMs), tooling, fixtures, or capital equipment projects.
    Proven experience managing complex mechanical automation projects from concept to commissioning.
    Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, machine design, mechanisms, pneumatics, hydraulics, material handling systems, and industrial equipment.
    Experience managing fabrication, machining, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.
    Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project.
    Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerancing, GD&T, DFM/DFA principles, and engineering documentation.
    Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
    Experience managing multiple projects and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
    Experience managing robotics integration and automated assembly systems.
    Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, and Digital Manufacturing initiatives.
    Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
    Experience managing global suppliers, fabrication vendors, and contract manufacturers.
    Knowledge of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, lifting systems, tooling, fixtures, and production automation solutions.
    Qualification:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
    5-7 years of experience in industrial automation, special purpose machines, manufacturing automation, robotics
    MS in Mechanical Engineering.
