Title: Project Manager 3 (Non-IT) Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid) Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years) Pay Range: $69.03 $72.26 per hour
The Project Manager plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define project objectives & oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Position Responsibilities- Direct & manage project development from beginning to end, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Define project scope, goals & deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Estimate resources & participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Set &continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify & resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify & manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan & schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones & deliverables.
- Develop & deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Determine frequency & content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria & disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Coach, mentor, & motivate project team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Build, develop, & grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices & tools for project execution and management.
Position Requirements Education & Corresponding Experience- A bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, accounting, computer or data science, organizational development, or a closely related technical field is preferred.
- 8 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
- 10 years of experience is required with an applicable associate's degree.
- 12 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree.
- Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of technical business analysis and information technology and progressively more technical in nature.
Required Technical Skills & Experience - 5 years of experience with project management, project portfolio management, and demand-capacity capabilities.
- 5 years of experience implementing a demand-capacity capability for concepts, policies, and operational procedures.
- 5 years of experience conducting work planning and scheduling and related facilitation with internal customers.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Intermediate knowledge of Power BI and Excel
- 5 years of experience facilitating process development with stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience with project and change management approaches, tools, and phases of the project.
Preferred Skills & Experience- Prior experience with Microsoft Project Server
- Knowledge of and proficient skill in applying process/program design and technical/process writing.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification (PMP)
- Change-Management Professional designation.
- Prior experience working in a ServiceNow environment using ITSM, Strategic Portfolio management, and/or Demand Management would be an additional advantage.
