    Description

    About the role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 2 (PM2) with a strong track record of self-driving, end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex technology projects. The role requires ownership of projects from initiation through to closure, managing internal service providers, third-party suppliers, and senior business stakeholders.

    The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience across major-scale software implementations, enterprise application upgrades, security initiatives, infrastructure transformations, and cloud-based solutions, operating in both Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.

    What youll be doing The PM2 will lead and deliver concurrent, high-value programs including:

    • Enterprise-wide software and platform implementations
    • Major application upgrade and modernization programs (on-premise to cloud, legacy to SaaS, version upgrades)
    • Security, infrastructure, and hybrid IT transformation initiatives

    This role demands strong governance, commercial awareness, technical credibility, and executive-level communication skills. Specifically requiring the ability to:

    • Work with requestors and senior stakeholders to define and shape large-scale project scope, objectives, success criteria, and outcomes; producing robust business cases, delivery plans, budgets, and resource models.
    • Lead software implementation and upgrade programs, including vendor-led and multi-supplier environments, ensuring alignment with business strategy and enterprise architecture.
    • Manage full project lifecycle delivery, including requirements definition, design, build, test, deployment, data migration, cutover, and post-implementation support.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational capability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously at different stages of delivery.
    • Provide clear, concise, and confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Deliver executive-level reporting and governance, including steering committees, RAID management, financial tracking, and benefits realization.
    • Drive internal world-wide teams and external suppliers to maintain momentum, resolve dependencies, and deliver against agreed milestones.
    • Lead information security-related initiatives, with a proven track record of delivering security controls, compliance, and risk remediation projects.
    • Deliver infrastructure and platform projects across server infrastructure, VMware, networking, cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and end-user computing, including integration with enterprise applications.
    • Apply Project Management best practices using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies, defining workstreams, sprints, release plans, and tracking delivery progress.
    • Operate effectively in a remote and hybrid working environment, managing geographically dispersed teams.
    • Be based from our Atlanta office, with flexibility to support stakeholder engagement as required.

    What you have

    • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software implementations and application upgrade programs, including ERP, CRM, line-of-business systems, and cloud-based platforms.
    • Familiarity with modern technologies and the ability to articulate their business benefits in line with Computacenters propositions.
    • Demonstrable track record of delivering complex, high-risk, multi-million-pound assignments with multiple successful outcomes.
    • Strong commercial awareness, including supplier management, contract governance, and financial control.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain, and influence relationships at all levels.
    • Ability to apply a variety of influencing and leadership techniques to achieve positive stakeholder outcomes.
    • High emotional intelligence, with the flexibility to adapt communication and leadership style to different audiences and to resolve conflict effectively.
    • Strong understanding of the wider business, technical, and strategic context of programs, with the ability to report confidently at C-level and executive forums.
    • Ability to clearly articulate the value of project management and programme governance to both internal and external customers.
    • A minimum of five years experience at PM2 level demonstrating the above skills.

    Bonus points

    • Formal Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
    • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
    • ITIL certification preferred
