Position Overview

The Project Management Analyst 4 oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects while serving as a liaison between project management, planning, project teams, line management, customers, and stakeholders.

The role focuses on project status and budget analysis, scheduling, reporting, risk identification, problem resolution, and supporting business-performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational aspects of ongoing projects.

  • Coordinate between:

  • Project management

  • Project planning

  • Project teams

  • Line management

  • Customers and stakeholders

  • Review project status and budgets.

  • Manage project schedules.

  • Prepare project status reports.

  • Assess project issues and develop appropriate resolutions.

  • Support productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms to monitor project progress.

  • Identify when intervention or corrective action is required.

  • Analyze budgets, staffing/manning, and project plans.

  • Provide regular management briefings regarding:

  • Business performance

  • Risks

  • Recommended solutions

  • Lead internal and external meetings.

  • Coach and mentor team members.

  • Build effective teams with internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree + 10 years of experience, OR
  • Master's Degree + 8 years of experience
  • 4 years of related exempt experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
  • 8 years of non-related exempt experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Critical Qualifications

  • Extensive project/program management experience.
  • Strong data-analysis skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead internal and external meetings.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and predictable work attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience/familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)-based cost analysis.
  • Labor resource management.
  • Operational scheduling.
  • Managing operational objectives and tasks.
  • Program Office experience.
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Six Sigma certification - preferred.
  • PMP certification - preferred.
