Location: Southeast Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour
We are seeking an experienced HR Investigator to conduct workplace investigations involving employee relations concerns, policy violations, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace complaints. This role will manage investigations from intake through resolution, conduct employee interviews, maintain confidential records, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct workplace investigations and employee interviews
- Manage cases, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Prepare clear, objective investigation findings and recommendations
- Support employee relations initiatives and workplace culture
- Partner with leadership on employee concerns and policy matters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of investigation, employee relations, or case management experience
- Experience conducting employee interviews and handling complex workplace matters
- Strong report writing, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred:
- Experience in manufacturing and/or unionized environments
- Labor relations experience
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent typing and real-time documentation skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, nights, weekends, or split shifts based on investigation needs
- Fully onsite position
