    Position Description:

    CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering mission‑critical capabilities, governance, and innovation for a federal client. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong program management experience, including financial oversight, staffing, delivery excellence, client engagement, and team development.

    This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office a minimum of two days per week.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership to a cross‑functional team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee all phases of program delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, high‑quality execution.
    • Manage program financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and expenditure monitoring.
    • Lead staffing efforts: recruit, develop, and retain top talent; ensure effective resource allocation.
    • Serve as the primary client point of contact, building strong relationships and delivering high‑value solutions.
    • Mentor and coach team members to support professional growth.
    • Supervise technical and operational program activities, including lifecycle maintenance and sustainment.
    • Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure clear communication and program success.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 7-10 years of program management experience, including financial management, staffing, delivery, and client engagement
    • Proven success leading federal programs and multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid environment
    • Experience managing risk, deliverables, and timelines
    • Strong understanding of government contracting
    • Experience mentoring and developing staff
    • Experience with business development and proposal creation

    Desired Qualifications

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

    CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $194,000.00.
