Building And Construction Project Executive
Step into executive-level leadership and lead major regional construction projects. As a Building and Construction Project Executive in Rochester, you will:
- Provide executive oversight for multiple construction projects and project teams
- Lead project strategy from preconstruction through closeout
- Drive project financial performance, forecasting, and profitability
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, and key stakeholders
- Mentor and support Project Managers and operational staff
- Review project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements
- Participate in business development and client relationship efforts
- Collaborate with operations leadership to maximize project performance
- Monitor and resolve high-level project risks and challenges
- Support recruiting, team development, and succession planning initiatives
The successful Project Executive candidate in Rochester, NY will have:
- 10+ years of construction management experience
- Proven leadership experience managing large or multiple projects
- Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning abilities
- Experience leading project teams and mentoring staff
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels
- Strong understanding of project delivery methods, contracts, and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to drive project profitability and client satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a MEP General Contractor (GC) or construction management firm
- Background managing commercial, healthcare, institutional, industrial, or large-scale construction projects
- Experience overseeing multiple Project Managers and project teams
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong business development and relationship management skills
