We are seeking an elite, driven construction leader to serve as a Project Executive, Alternative Deliveryfor a premier infrastructure contractor in Nashville, TN.
In this high-impact, executive-level role, you will champion the full lifecycle of large-scale heavy civil work—expertly identifying new business prospects, securing complex contract wins, and driving project execution to profitable completion.
You will spearhead the growth and delivery of alternative delivery pipelines—including Design-Build, CMAR/CM, and P3—taking projects completely from initial estimation and client pursuit down to final closeout.
The ideal candidate brings a masterful knowledge of highway, roadway, and Department of Transportation (DOT) megaprojects. This individual will blend fierce business development acumen with pristine project controls and a passion for mentoring elite operational teams.
Compensation:

Key Responsibilities
- Drive Business Development & Pursuit: Lead client interviews, technical writing, RFQ/RFP tracking, and teaming strategies to secure massive public infrastructure contracts.
- Own Project Execution: Provide executive oversight, guidance, and strategic direction over multiple concurrent heavy highway projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage High-Value Financials: Leads contract negotiations, pricing decisions, risk analysis, master scheduling, estimating, and budgeting to maximize project profitability and guarantee technical quality.
- Build High-Performance Teams: Actively coach, train, and mentor an internal staff of Senior Project Managers, PMs, and Superintendents to foster professional growth and constructive feedback pipelines.
- Nurture Stakeholder Networks: Serve as a trusted advisor, developing enduring relationships with state DOTs, municipalities, the design community, and regional subcontractors.
Required Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a strictly related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience in heavy civil project management, DOT projects, or regional infrastructure delivery. (Exceptional Senior Project Managers with 20+ years of deep operator/Client experience looking to step up are highly encouraged to apply).
- Sector Focus: Proven track record leading large-scale heavy highway and roadway projects. Note: Alternate delivery experience strictly in water, vertical, or other civil sectors will not be considered for this role.
- Alternative Delivery Expertise: Demonstrated success navigating alternative procurement methods such as Design-Build, CMAR/CM, or Public-Private Partnerships (P3).
Preferred Certifications & Skills
- Professional certifications such as DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America), CCM, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Southeastern infrastructure markets with an active, referenceable industry network.
- Mastery of construction financial metrics, estimating, purchasing, and advanced scheduling techniques.
- Proficiency with modern tech tools and construction platforms (e.g., Viewpoint, HCSS, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite).
