Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Texas-based Project Executive to lead large, complex infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for project strategy, financial performance, client relationships, and the teams delivering the work.
The ideal candidate has a strong record of leading major capital projects—such as highways, dams, power plants, or other large-scale infrastructure programs. Experience with electrical construction or hyperscale data centers is welcome, but neither is required. The priority is a leader who can take ownership of complex work, make sound commercial decisions, and deliver results through strong teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight of infrastructure projects from planning and preconstruction through delivery and closeout.
- Lead and develop project management, construction, and field leadership teams.
- Own project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and risk management.
- Guide project strategy, schedules, procurement, contracts, and change management.
- Build strong relationships with clients, owners, partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Support major pursuits, proposals, contract negotiations, and business development.
- Resolve escalated project issues while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive construction or project leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility for complex infrastructure work.
- Demonstrated success leading major capital projects; experience with projects approaching or exceeding $1 billion is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial and financial judgment, including experience with forecasting, contract management, and risk mitigation.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and executive stakeholders.
- Experience in electrical infrastructure or hyperscale data center construction is a plus, not a requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. PMP or PgMP certification is a plus.
- Ability to visit project sites as needed.
