We are seeking a Project Executive to lead multiple construction project teams while driving client development, business growth, and successful project delivery across the Charlotte market. Description
- Lead and oversee multiple project teams from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and industry partners.
- Identify, pursue, and help secure new business opportunities through networking, presentations, industry involvement, and strategic client engagement.
- Partner with Preconstruction and Operations teams to develop pursuit strategies, bid approaches, pricing, procurement plans, and design-build responses.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Superintendents, and Safety Managers.
- Establish clear project objectives, staffing plans, accountability measures, and performance expectations.
- Champion a strong safety culture by overseeing Project Specific Safety Plans, conducting reviews, addressing jobsite risks, and supporting incident response.
- Manage owner contracts, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and risk mitigation efforts in partnership with leadership and legal teams.
- Review and approve project budgets, cost reports, pay applications, change orders, and subcontractor payments.
- Monitor project financial performance and ensure successful delivery related to cost, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.
- Represent the organisation in key client meetings and industry events while promoting long-term business growth.
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and leadership.

Profile
A successful Project Executive should have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or 2+ years as a Project Executive.
- Proven track record of contributing beyond day-to-day project execution to help win, attract, or secure new work.
- Strong business development mindset with demonstrated success building client relationships.
- Experience leading project pursuits, proposal efforts, or client development initiatives.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.
- Experience overseeing multiple projects, project teams, and financial responsibilities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of contract management, risk mitigation, project controls, and construction operations.
- Familiarity with the Charlotte or North Carolina construction market strongly preferred.
- Local candidates are preferred; relocation candidates must bring market knowledge and/or established client relationships.
