Reporting to the Tech Ops Leader, Joints Reconstruction Platform, the E2E (End to End) Engineering Delivery Program Lead -Hips & Shoulders is responsible for leading and directing, all Projects in relation to the HIPS & SHOULDERS Value Stream (VS) Portfolios. This includes, but not exclusive to, New Product Introduction (NPI) (Internal and External), Technology Introduction, Strategic Capacity and Risk Reduction in line with the Value Stream Product Strategy Roadmaps (PSR) and Long-Range Production Plan (LRPP).
This Leader will also be a member of the Global Tech Ops Leadership Team, to ensure alignment across the engineering community, and designing the Strategic Direction of the HIPS & SHOULDERS E2E Technical Portfolio.
This critical role will be accountable for the Global performance of the HIPS & SHOULDERS Portfolio to ensure consistency in delivery of NPI launch volumes, Product Transfers, Strategic Capacity across the network in line with PSR, New Technology Introduction, to support both existing and New Product, and provide a reduced risk in the E2E Manufacturing Base for HIP Product Manufacturing. This will be realized in a strategically consistent manner across the Global Operational Sites where HIP portfolio products are Manufactured (Warsaw, Cork, Leeds, Suzhou). The role will be responsible for full Technical Ownership of all Tech Ops activities for the HIPS & SHOULDERS Portfolio, ensuring full collaboration, from an E2E Tech Ops perspective whilst also being responsible for Leading the setting of the Strategic direction for the team in alignment with the Joints Supply Chain, Plants, Value Stream PSR and R&D objectives. This role will be responsible for the setting of all related Targets and cascading through the E2E Engineering Program Delivery Team.
Develop an integrated E2E Hips & Shoulders Technology Operations capability to leverage talent and best practices in Engineering, Science & Technology to deliver on the Value Stream Metrics, in line with the JOINTS Platform Metrics.
The role requires the development of strong partnerships and focus on E2E interfaces across Tech Ops functions. At this level, the position has a direct contribution to the development of business and/or functional strategies and responsibility for growth of the HIP & SHOULDER Value Streams, in line with Commercial expectations.

25% - Technical Lead for E2E HIP & SHOULDERS Portfolio Program delivery ensuring consistency and excellence in execution to the HIP & SHOULDERS Value Stream Leaders
25% - Lead a Global Technical function of 180+ personnel across 4 Manufacturing sites to deliver best in class Business Results, managing an annual Budget of $15M, and a Capital spend of circa $40M, and delivering in line with BP and LRFP Targets
20% - Managing and implementing the introduction of enabling Manufacturing Processes, Capacity & Technologies to deliver growth volumes for the HIPS & SHOULDERS Value Stream to realize yoy Revenue Generation of $1.75B+ ensuring that the HIP Manufacturing Capacity requirements are delivered.
15% - Direct the roadmap development and deployment of technologies for Hips & Shoulders and partner with global engineering network to maximize ownership, engagement and alignment to strategic roadmaps. Working with technology virtual teams to investigate & deliver a pipeline of advanced manufacturing technologies to be implemented in our manufacturing plants to dramatically improve Design to Value for new products.
Setting the strategic direction (e.g., Technology Roadmap) for the team and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Value Stream) and functions (e.g., Quality)
10% - Driving a culture of continuous improvement with a relentless focus on process & delivery excellence.
5% - Key Member / Leader of the HIPS & SHOULDERS Value Stream Team, representing Tech Ops.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
