Project Engineer – Heavy Civil / Horizontal Directional Drilling
Location: Houston, TX and willing to travel within the USA
Help Deliver a Landmark Underground Pipeline Project
We're looking for a Project Engineer to support the successful execution of a major trenchless pipeline installation project. Working closely with Project Managers and field leadership, you'll help coordinate engineering, construction activities, scheduling, documentation, and project controls throughout the lifecycle of this multi-year infrastructure project.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical engineering and construction execution.
What You'll Do
- Support day-to-day management of a major HDD pipeline project.
- Coordinate engineering documents, RFIs, submittals, and technical reviews.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and production progress.
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
- Work closely with field personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
- Prepare progress reports and project documentation.
- Participate in planning meetings and project coordination.
- Assist with quality assurance and safety initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related discipline.
- 2–6 years of construction or infrastructure project experience.
- Experience supporting heavy civil, utility, marine, pipeline, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; scheduling software experience is a plus.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Miami area.
