    Project Engineer – Electrical
    Houston, Texas

Join a fast-growing energy innovator at the forefront of reshaping how power is generated, delivered, and optimized across the U.S. This organization is playing a critical role in modernizing the grid—combining reliable power generation with cutting-edge energy storage and lower-carbon solutions. With projects spanning advanced natural gas systems and battery energy storage, the team is driving real progress toward a more resilient and sustainable energy future.

Backed by experienced industry leaders and rapidly expanding project pipelines, this is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role where your work directly influences critical infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with a tight-knit, high-performing team that values technical excellence, fresh ideas, and hands-on problem solving—offering the kind of ownership and visibility rarely found in larger organizations.

This is an in-office role Monday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays.

    The Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Project Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license who thrives in a dynamic, execution-focused environment. This role goes beyond coordination—you’ll be deeply involved in engineering design, technical decision-making, and project delivery from concept through commissioning.

    What You’ll Do
    • Lead the full lifecycle of power generation and energy projects—from early development through design, construction, and commissioning
    • Act as the technical authority, providing engineering oversight, design approvals, and stamping where applicable
    • Develop and review electrical designs, specifications, and calculations across power systems, controls, and integrated technologies
    • Drive design reviews at key project milestones and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges
    • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, external engineers, OEMs, and construction partners to deliver high-quality outcomes
    • Evaluate vendor proposals and equipment selections, including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and generation assets
    • Support procurement processes with detailed scopes of work, RFQs, and technical documentation
    • Oversee QA/QC processes including factory and site acceptance testing
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, workflows, and collaboration practices
    • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies across energy storage, distributed generation, and grid modernization

    What You Bring
    • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
    • Strong experience in power generation, energy storage, transmission & distribution, or related sectors
    • Deep understanding of electrical systems, including low- and medium-voltage design and power equipment
    • Expertise in load flow analysis, fault studies, protection systems, and equipment sizing
    • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, NFPA)
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment
    • Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S.

    Why This Role Stands Out
    • Direct impact on the future of energy infrastructure and grid reliability
    • Opportunity to work on innovative projects blending traditional and next-generation energy solutions
    • High-visibility role with real ownership and influence on technical decisions
    • Collaborative, agile environment where ideas are heard and innovation is encouraged
    • Clear path for growth as the organization continues to expand its national footprint

If you’re motivated by solving complex engineering challenges and want to be part of a team building the next generation of energy solutions, this is a chance to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
