    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a Project Engineer to provide mid-level engineering and technical expertise on complex electric transmission projects for high-voltage (HV) overhead utility systems.

    In this role, you will prepare, review, and guide work on line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance verification, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability assessments, work order package preparation, permitting, and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and construction teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria for transmission line projects.

    • Finalize PLS-CADD models for engineering designs.

    • Plan and schedule project tasks for the support team.

    • Participate in stakeholder meetings.

    • Conduct design review meetings and provide technical input.

    • Address special design-related questions as needed.

    • Attend internal engineering and design review sessions.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering (required).

    • Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred).

    • Minimum of 4 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility sector (required).

    • Proficient in using PLS-CADD for transmission line design (required).

    • Knowledge of industry design codes and standards, including NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.

    • Experience collaborating with substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering theories and principles effectively.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research engineering issues and evaluate alternatives.

    • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.

    • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    • Excellent collaboration, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

    • Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record per company policy.
