    Description

    We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Traffic Division in Hamilton.

    Working across a range of infrastructure, roading and construction projects, you'll lead the planning, design and delivery of temporary traffic management solutions that keep projects moving safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll work closely with project teams, clients, approval authorities and operational crews to ensure quality outcomes from planning through to delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the planning, design and delivery of temporary traffic management solutions across multiple projects
    • Prepare and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), traffic staging plans and design documentation
    • Coordinate approvals with Road Controlling Authorities, councils and other stakeholders
    • Monitor project budgets, resource requirements, programme milestones and commercial performance
    • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, planners and operational teams
    • Drive strong safety, quality and compliance outcomes across all traffic management activities

    What You'll Bring to the Role

    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Traffic Management, Project Management, or equivalent industry experience
    • At least five years' experience working on construction, infrastructure, roading or traffic management projects
    • Proven experience preparing TMPs and working with approval authorities and regulatory requirements
    • Strong understanding of NZ traffic management standards, project delivery and construction methodologies
    • Experience coordinating project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to achieve programme outcomes
    • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, cost control and project reporting
