Standard Job Description

Serves as the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Motor Pool Maintenance Advisor & On the Job Training Lead for United Arab Emirates (UAE) in UAE. Supports daily floor supervision, hands-on technical assistance, and the development of UAE service member maintenance proficiency. Works side-by‑side with the Lead Advisor to execute the maintenance schedule, ensure quality, and expand UAE capability through structured training. Key responsibilities: Daily Floor Supervision Lead hands‑on maintenance activities; conduct task‑briefings and safety briefings. Verify personnel qualifications, monitor tool use, and perform in‑process inspections. Report production delays to the Lead Advisor; coordinate final‑inspection hand‑off; On‑the‑Job (OJT) Training Design and execute a structured OJT curriculum covering preventive checks, fault isolation, generator and vehicular systems, and technical inspections. Deliver classroom instruction, demonstrations, and supervised repetitions. Document proficiency, identify skill gaps, and recommend remedial or refresher training; Technical Assistance Assist UAE Airmen and Logistics Airmen with troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic) of THAAD chassis, LMTV, LHS, and generators. Guide repair‑parts identification and maintenance documentation. Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Lead Advisor; Quality‑Control Support Perform initial, in‑process, and final inspections; verify operational checks and tool calibration. Identify repeat failures or improper practices; recommend corrective training. Maintain inspection and OJT records; Lead Advisor Support Aid in maintenance schedule development, workload planning, and readiness reporting. Act as the Lead Advisor's authorized proxy during approved absences. Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

• MOS/Skillset - Prior U.S. Army MOS 91B/X/Z (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic)
• Supervisory Experience - Equivalent to an E-5/E‑7 maintenance supervisor; 4-8 years tactical wheeled‑vehicle maintenance.
• Technical Background - Hands-on experience with THAAD launcher chassis, HEMTT, FMTV, LHS, and tactical generators.
• Training Expertise - Developed and delivered OJT programs for military personnel.
• Knowledge - Generator, hydraulic, and load-handling system maintenance; safety and documentation procedures.
• Communication - Ability to convey technical procedures clearly to personnel of varied experience levels.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required
• Must obtain and maintain a suitable U.S. government clearance for work in the UAE.
• May require occasional travel within the UAE and to regional support sites.
• Positions are under a U.S. government‑mandated contract; all work is subject to the Statement of Work and applicable export controls.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
