JOB TITLE: Project Engineer - REMOTE
LOCATION:Remote, FL
PAY RATE: $100.00/year

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Defines, manages, and communicates the SAP release schedule across development, quality assurance, and production environments for routine, emergency, and major project deployments.

  • Governs the implementation of the release calendar and ensures compliance with best practices to minimize operational risk during deployments.

  • Communicates and coordinates release planning, testing, tracking, process, changes, and risks for Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency, and Planned release types.

  • Manages cross-review and analysis of on-going parallel releases, architectural and engineering changes, multiple environment deployments, and changes in direction from portfolio and program levels.

  • Oversees SAP transport sequencing, dependency checks, import logs, and risk mitigations to prevent transport overwrite and dual-maintenance issues.

  • Chairs or contributes to Change and Release Manager Board meetings, evaluating business risk, downtime requirements, and rollback plans.

  • Coordinates with dedicated technical team members across the change and release organization to ensure smooth release deliveries to production.

  • Assists with the development, communication, and coordination of a centralized Release Management and Transport Management process for all release types.

  • Maintains documentation related to change and release management, release calendars, governance board documentation, and process documentation.

  • Works incidents and trouble tickets, coordinates plans, tracks issues, and leads root-cause analysis for release-related incidents.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Experience with SAP Change and Release Management across complex ERP portfolios.

  • Experience with SAP transport management including sequencing, dependency checks, and import logs.

  • Experience with SAP ChaRM and Solution Manager for change and release governance.

  • Knowledge of SAP transport processes including STMS and CTS for change management.

  • Experience managing SAP release types including Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency, and Planned releases.

  • Experience coordinating with SAP functional teams, Basis, developers, and business stakeholders.

  • Experience with release planning, testing, and deployment across development, quality, and production environments.

  • Experience with cross-review and analysis of parallel releases and architectural changes.

  • Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, and risk mitigation for release-related issues.
