The responsibilities include supporting project teams with planning, scheduling, and executing construction tasks, as well as coordinating resources and tracking project progress. The Project Engineer will be expected to collaborate with project managers, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide technical engineering input to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

Essential Functions

  • \n
  • Provide technical support for any construction related matters
  • \n
  • Observe construction activities at project site
  • \n
  • Process project communications between contractor, client and designer including requests for information, submittals, design clarifications and change order request
  • \n
  • Maintain online project files and document tracking
  • \n
  • May prepare quantity take-offs and estimates for change orders
  • \n
  • May be responsible for review of the contractor’s baseline and monthly update schedules
  • \n
  • Maintain as-builts
  • \n
  • Assist with interpretation of project plans and specifications
  • \n
  • Assist with the preparation of claims and claim evaluation to determine merit
  • \n
  • Operates under close supervision with detailed instruction on all tasks
  • \n
  • Follows established procedures on routine tasks
  • \n
  • Make decisions based on instruction given
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

•  Degree in engineering, construction management or architecture or have two years of similar technical

\n

experience.

  • EIT Certified
  • \n
\n

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

\n

• Member of 1 professional organization

\n

• Working knowledge of Office 365. Knowledge of Procore or similar construction management software

\n

and Primavera P6 scheduling software is desirable

\n
  • \n
  • Position will periodically require travel between project sites; it is the individual’s responsibly to provide their own transportation for such purposes, requiring an unsuspended and unrestricted driver’s license. 
  • \n
  • Strong Project Engineering and Project Planning skills to support and execute construction tasks effectively.
  • \n
  • Proven Project Management abilities, including resource coordination and progress tracking.
  • \n
  • Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in public works or water resource projects is preferred.
  • \n

Compensation

\n

$70- $85 based on experience.
