Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will design and coordinate residential structural engineering projects from concept through completion, combining technical design expertise with project management and client communication responsibilities. The Project Engineer is responsible for effectively, efficiently, and safely fulfilling all technical and administrative responsibilities associated with residential and accessory/amenity unit structural engineering projects.

As a Project Engineer, you will design and coordinate residential structural engineering projects from concept through completion, combining technical design expertise with project management and client communication responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Documentation:
  • Develop structural designs and prepare construction documents, including roof, floor, and foundation plans.
  • Prepare structural details and specifications.
  • Review drawings for accuracy and code compliance.
• General Abilities:
  • Complete administrative forms and reports accurately and timely.
  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Exercise sound judgment and professional discretion.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Respond to inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Follow all safety and company policies.
  • Work effectively independently and collaboratively.
  • Perform duties safely without risk to self or others.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Passed or working towards passing the Fundamentals Exam (FE) through NCEES.
• General knowledge of residential structural systems and construction methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• This position may require additional hours above 40 hours per week to meet deadlines as needed and is part of your full-time employment responsibilities.
