Here's the job in one sentence:
Take technically demanding molded medical-device programs from quote through successful production launch.
That means this isn't simply project scheduling.
You'll need to understand the product, tooling, molding process, suppliers, automation, secondary operations, quality requirements, timing and economics behind the program.
You should be comfortable talking about
Part design.
Draft, side actions and shutoffs.
Mold design and construction.
Tooling.
DOE and capability studies.
Steel Safe / Tolerance Safe.
Automation.
Press robots.
Secondary operations.
Supplier management.
Project timelines and budgets.
And especially medical molding.
Experience with High-Consistency Rubber, Gum Silicone or Liquid Silicone Rubber is particularly valuable. Thermoplastic or thermoset injection molding experience adds to the fit.
What makes this position interesting?
You get ownership across the lifecycle:
Quote → Design → Tooling → Process → Suppliers → Validation → Launch
You'll lead cross-functional teams and work directly with customers and suppliers.
We're looking for roughly five or more years of plastics manufacturing/project engineering experience. A Mechanical or Plastics Engineering background is preferred.
If you're a plastics engineer who enjoys owning the whole program instead of one small piece of it, I'd like to hear from you.
