    Project Engineer – Pipeline & Subsea

    Olive Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join one of our valued clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional with experience supporting complex pipeline, subsea, offshore, and energy-related projects from initial planning and engineering through field execution and project closeout. This position supports a well-established organization serving customers across the energy and industrial sectors.

    Location: Houston, Texas
    Full-time, direct hire opportunity (not a temporary position)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Support the engineering, planning, coordination, and execution of pipeline, subsea, offshore, and related technical projects.
    • Prepare and review project procedures, technical drawings, calculations, risk assessments, schedules, reports, and other engineering documentation.
    • Coordinate engineering deliverables and ensure project documentation meets applicable technical, quality, and customer requirements.
    • Support equipment planning, project readiness, testing, mobilization, and demobilization activities.
    • Participate in project execution at both onshore and offshore customer locations as required.
    • Monitor field activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved project requirements.
    • Verify equipment and technical requirements are appropriate for project scope and specifications.
    • Maintain effective communication with customers, project managers, operations personnel, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.
    • Support technical and commercial change management throughout project execution.
    • Maintain accurate project records, status reports, operational documentation, lessons learned, and closeout information.
    • Work collaboratively with quality, operations, engineering, and project leadership to support continuous improvement and successful project delivery.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to project and field personnel as needed.
    • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all phases of project execution.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
    • Five or more years of relevant engineering or project experience within pipeline, subsea, offshore, energy, or related industrial environments.
    • Proven experience supporting engineering projects from planning and preparation through field execution and closeout.
    • Knowledge of offshore industry standards, engineering practices, and field operations.
    • Experience with pipeline, subsea, commissioning, testing, or related technical project environments is strongly preferred.
    • Ability to prepare, review, and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, calculations, schedules, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
    • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
    • Commercial and cost awareness within a project environment.
    • Comfortable working in both office and field environments, including travel to onshore and offshore project locations as required.
    • Strong communication, organization, coordination, and client-facing skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental requirements associated with project execution.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
