Position Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will support project management and field leadership teams in the planning, organization, and execution of mission-critical construction projects. You will assist with project administration, cost tracking, scheduling, procurement activities, subcontractor coordination, documentation management, quality control, and field operations while gaining exposure to all aspects of project delivery.

This role serves as a key contributor to project success by helping ensure projects remain organized, efficient, and aligned with customer expectations and company objectives. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers while developing the skills necessary to advance into project management and operational leadership roles.

Success requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, organizational ability, personal accountability, and a willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project managers and field leadership with project planning, execution, reporting, and administrative activities.
• Assist with project cost tracking, labor reporting, production tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and financial documentation.
• Maintain project schedules and assist with schedule updates, milestone tracking, and project reporting.
• Coordinate material procurement activities, submittals, documentation management, and project records.
• Support subcontractor coordination, contract compliance, project communications, and customer interaction.
• Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, quote solicitation, quality assurance, quality control, and testing activities.

What You'll Do

• Assist project managers with the delivery of hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Track project costs, labor productivity, production quantities, materials, equipment utilization, and project performance metrics.
• Support customer billing, project reporting, procurement activities, and documentation management.
• Attend project meetings and support communication between customers, subcontractors, suppliers, field teams, and project leadership.
• Assist with material submittals, contract administration, scheduling updates, and project startup efforts.
• Provide onsite administrative and operational support activities for project teams.
• Support QA/QC processes, testing procedures, and project closeout documentation.
• Gain hands-on experience managing complex construction projects through all phases of delivery.

What It Takes

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field and 0-4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience or coursework related to construction project management, engineering, estimating, scheduling, procurement, project controls, or field operations.
• Ability to understand project contracts, specifications, construction drawings, schedules, and project documentation.
• Experience supporting cost tracking, labor reporting, budgeting, procurement activities, project administration, or subcontractor coordination is preferred.
• Ability to assist with estimating activities, quantity takeoffs, proposal preparation, and quote solicitation.
• Experience supporting QA/QC processes, testing procedures, and project documentation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction software is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous development.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to support long-term onsite project assignments and travel extensively as required. Travel may account for a significant portion of the role and may limit the ability to return home during off time.
