    Project Engineer

    We have a prime opportunity for a Project Engineer at the Kirby Risk Service Center in Lafayette, IN who can work as a team member and support customers directly to provide the best solutions to resolve manufacturing issues.

    Kirby Risk Service Center, a division of Kirby Risk Corporation specializing in electrical wiring, control panel, and mechanical manufacturing.

    What You'll Do as a Project EngineerIn this role, you'll provide technical assistance to customers in the design, assembly, and manufacturing of new products. Prepare all new products for production using Lean Manufacturing and QS to maintain the highest level of quality and repeatability of the product.

    You'll:

    Communication with organization leadership, internal customers, and external customersBuild customer products from printsAnalyze customer requirements and provide customers with the best solution in the most cost-effective manner.Create product visual aids and work instructions for the production associatesDesign and write specifications for pre-production projects as neededDevelop customer relationships to:

    Uncover opportunities for additional projectsCollect and report customer comments and complaintsEstablish and maintain relationships with key buying influences

    Assist production associates with new builds

    What Makes You a Great Fit

    Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technical fieldStrong ability to read and interpret blueprintsRecognize the importance of developing and maintaining relationships with customersDemonstrate professionalism when representing the companyPossess excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skillsDemonstrates computer skills and aptitude; MS Office; knowledge of CAD or wire harness software

    Experience with SolidWorks or similar preferred
