Description

JSG is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer to join our client’s high-impact Technical Operations team supporting the commercial manufacture of sterile drug product (form/fill) across an external partner network. As a Senior Project Engineer (III), you’ll own and execute process-related technical change controls across multiple sites, translate complex GMP data into actionable insight, and drive documentation excellence that keeps products moving safely, compliantly, and on schedule. This is a contract role planned for one year (with a possible one-year extension) and offers remote or hybrid options, with West Point as the preferred location (local candidates may be expected onsite 1–2 days/week).

Pay $80/hour

Required Skills
  • GMP experience: Minimum 6+ years post–bachelor’s experience in a GMP functional area (or supporting one), such as Operations, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering
  • Sterile/aseptic fill-finish support: Minimum 3+ years supporting sterile/aseptic drug product filling (e.g., vials, syringes)
  • Change control: Proven experience with change control ownership and execution
  • Technical documentation: Ability to author, review, and maintain GMP documentation (e.g., change controls, protocols, technical reports, CPV plans, trend analyses, periodic reports) with clarity and compliance
  • Statistics & data analysis: Experience extracting/validating GMP data and applying statistical methods (e.g., SPC, capability analysis) to support proactive process analysis
  • Communication & teamwork: Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across stakeholders and sites
  • Project execution: Demonstrated ability to independently manage work to schedules and deadlines (organization, planning, follow-through)
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting isolator filling
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives (data-driven process optimization, documentation standardization)
  • Experience providing floor support / Person-In-Plant activities at external partner sites
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry/Biology, or another related science/engineering field
  • ~6+ years overall experience with strong technical operations exposure in sterile liquids/injectables (e.g., vials and syringes) and external manufacturing support
Other Requirements
  • Travel up to 25%, primarily to North Carolina and Indiana
  • Work may include coordination through SOPs, procedures, systems, email, meetings, and multi-site stakeholder management
  • Focus is on sterile drug product (not solid dosage)
