    South-Central PA

Our client is a rapidly growing, construction leader who is seeking a proactive, technically skilled Project Engineer to serve as a key technical leader in their engineering department. This role bridges design engineering with hands-on construction execution, driving project decisions from initial concept through fabrication and final field completion.

You will design and engineer complete, functional mechanical/structural systems tailored to specialized agricultural and industrial facilities transforming field data and customer needs into buildable, high-performance solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Engineering Design & Technical Documentation

    • Own design decisions across the entire project lifespan from early-stage conceptual layout through post-construction handoff.

    • Create detailed 2D layout drawings, 3D assembly models, and fabrication prints to guide field crews and manufacturing teams during installation.

    • Integrate field measurements and aerial/drone survey models to generate accurate, buildable site layout plans.

    • Create and review customer approval drawings; evaluate and approve third-party vendor submittals and shop drawings.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Delivery

    • Serve as the technical bridge between Business Development, Estimating, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Field Project Management.

    • Identify potential fitment, operational, or fabrication clashes early; provide rapid, practical engineering solutions to field issues and manage drawing revisions.

    • Forecast and track engineering and drafting milestones, estimating hours required for detail work and reporting capacity to leadership.

    • Perform occasional site visits and field verifications as needed to ensure construction aligns with design intent.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Agricultural, Structural, or related).

    • Strong experience in 2D and 3D modeling (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred, or equivalent software).

    • Solid grasp of industry drafting, tolerance, and dimensioning standards.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and project scheduling tools (MS Project or similar).

    Experience & Industry Knowledge:

    • Experience in commercial, industrial, or specialty construction with a practical understanding of field installation practices.

    • Experience or strong familiarity with sheet metal design, steel fabrication, or mechanical system integration is strongly preferred.

    • Ability to thrive and self-manage in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
